In Panama City!

We arrived in Panama City yesterday afternoon! It has been an excellent journey so far. Not always easy, never boring, and often awe inspiring. I will be loading photos soon and writing up a summary of our trip, but my battery is low at the moment. And it's a lovely sunset coming on so better to go watch that :-) We will be in Panama City for several days, hoping to transit the canal early to middle of next week. We hope to have our canal transit arrangements finalized tomorrow.

More soon...

  2. Hi Rachel and company!

Thanks for the updates! Tell us more about what's not easy? I'm encouraged that you fill with awe despite that. Is it hard to come by moments of quiet?

Ooh! I just saw the Ixtapa slideshow! Yay, pictures of you, Rachel, and of course Karl and everyone! Yours and Karl's hair look great after 2+ weeks of no shower! And the water is so blue!

In some of the pictures, you're in rain coats. Is it cold at night?

Will you tell us more about catching dinner and the shark? Always by trolling? The shark looked like it was on a line. Is that possible?

And was that a tornado? Whoa!

And how did that intrepid moth survive that far out? Was she a castaway in your cabin?

Wishing you all a safe, healthy, loving journey!

  3. Also, Rachel, will you post pictures of your naval flags? Do you have occasion to use them?
